“Cut off collection” is a series of curtains created from industrial left over material from a bed sheet company. In the production process of the bed sheets the cutting machine creates the waste of small straps. This worthless material can be up-cycled by the use of craftsmanship. The value of crafts is that it can shape material rough and independently, and in contrast to the industry does not need uniform material. In the design of the “Cut off collection” the small cotton straps are roughly sew together in layers. It creates different transparencies that play with the light.
